If you’re interested in becoming a paid responder with the Town of Sexsmith Fire Department, applicants must live within 15 minutes or 20 kilometres of the Sexsmith Fire Hall.

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid Alberta Driver’s License
  • Safe driving record with a current Driver’s Abstract
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • RCMP Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Doctor’s letter confirming medical fitness for firefighting duties
• Interested in firefighting but under 18?
  Youth between the ages of 16–17 may apply to become a Fire Cadet.
