A little about us:
The Sexsmith Wellness Coalition (SWC) started in 2013 from a community conversation on wellness. As a group representing many facets of our local community, we work with a variety of local groups to bring healthy opportunities to our local residents. By supporting the opportunities for community wellbeing, we enhance the quality of life in and around Sexsmith and contribute to a vibrant and thriving society. The SWC consists of interested individuals, groups and organizations to promote community wellbeing in Sexsmith and area.
The Sexsmith Wellness Coalition envisions their legacy to be a contribution to a connected, thriving and sustainably healthy community which can support its citizens to address the healthy living environment and social challenges and opportunities within the community.
The SWC consists to promote community wellbeing in Sexsmith in these key functions:
- To increase opportunities for community connections and develop partnerships to promote community wellbeing
- To enhance opportunities for community wellbeing such as active living, healthy eating and community connectedness, etc
- To assist in the development of environments within our community supportive of healthy living
- To advocate for the wellbeing of the community of Sexsmith, advising to Council and other agencies regarding the mandate and objectives related to wellbeing.
