COVID-19 Information
update #11

GPREP has been activated for 34 days to provide a coordinated regional response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. This is the longest activation in the organization's history.

The partnership was formalized in 2013 and activates when there is a significant threat to a partner municipality. Once activated, staff from the partner municipalities work together to respond which allows resources such as firefighters, enforcement officers, and strategic municipal staff to be redeployed in the most effective method.

GPREP is currently offering services to the community such as the Community Care Program,an overnight cot program, isolation supports for vulnerable persons,an‘offers to help’database, and monitoring of the regional supply chain to ensure access to goods.

The State of Local Emergency in all six partner municipalities has also been renewed.Read the full media release here: www.gprep.ca/news

 Update # 10
GPREP has received reports of residents not adhering to physical distancing measures at stores. This practice must stop. Under the advice of provincial health authorities, individuals are to limit the number of times they leave their home for errands. If residents must go out for essential needs, they are required to abide by provincial health orders and the physical distancing measures in place at stores.
